Quit Claim Exemption Codes

What is the name of your state? Arizona

I recently bought out my ex-husband's share in our property, and he signed a quit claim. I took it to the County Recorder's office where they told me that the quit claim required an exemption code. They couldn't help me with which code to use as they can't give legal advice. What code do I use? Help, please! (Sorry if I've listed this in the wrong forum. I wasn't sure where it should go!)

My husband did a quit claim deed for me when he signed the house over to me and I didn't need an exempt code. Even though his name is off the deed his name is still on the mortgage, so if you decide to sell the house make sure that you show realtor your copy of the quit claim deed so that all the funds go to you alone. That's how I did mine and the check was in my name alone.
