What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Texas, but wanting to change residency to Louisianna. I am getting married and moving to Louisianna, if I do a bankruptcy now(before marriage) is my new spouse affected in any way?

Anything he has cosigned with you if you declare bankruptcy after he cosigns he becomes legally responsible for it.
