My ex-husband is trying to get a restraining order against me. He appeared at Court today "ex parte" however, they have tabled the hearing until Monday because he did not give me enough time to appear in court. However, I won't be able to attend because I am travelling on business. I have no clue why he is doing this since I've had no contact with him for over two years. I've not sent letters, I've not made phone calls, I've never been to his house.

Can I file court papers in this short period of time to have the case moved to where I live? WHere he has filed is about 60 miles away from me (that's where he lives). Also, I'm thinking who cares if he gets a restraining order. I won't violate it because I don't have contact with him.

ANy help or suggestions will be helpful.
