i have a restraining order on my husband he is not allowed to be with in 500 feet of the property, but today he was escorted on the property with a police officer, and the officer did it because he felt he did not give my husband a full 10 minutes when the restraining order was served on him in December...i was not notified today that this was happening..my question is was the police officer in the wrong and can i have my husband arrested for voilating the restraining order? i live in the state of oregon ...thank you \

My response:

Yes, but who's going to arrest him ? The same officer and Police Department that assisted your ex to violate the Restraining Order ?

Give me a break. It's not going to happen; at least, not in Small Town America.
