Restraining Order in Texas

I am twenty one and my girlfriend is 17. Her parents are threatening to put a restraining order on me if we don't stay away. We are not planning on doing anything stupid for that matter until she is 18. Will this go on my record? What are the reprocussions of this? Will she be able to see me when she turns 18 or will the order still be in affect. Thanks.
