What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? I live in Missouri, and my ex-fiance lives in Indiana. I sent him all of his personal items that were in my residence. He asked me for a list of my things at his residence and where they were located. I provided him with the information, and now he is refusing to return my personal belongings. He threatened to call the police if I came to get my things. What step can I take next

you can show up with a police escort to retrieve your items.

but first, what proof do you have these items are yours?

you can sue him in civil court for the depreciated value of the items.

you'll still need proof the items in question are yours.
