scary situation

What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? Missouri
I have a 5 year old son and my ex is getting married to a woman with 2 children. She has recently had her children taken away because she was an unfit parent. She now has them back and they are living with my son's father (which is against the divorce decree). My son's father has visitation (at least 2 overnights a week).
I have been approched by HER family telling me that it would not be a good idea for my son to be around her. I do not have all the details into what she has done but I am looking into it. So far all I know is she sounds like a fruitcake (faking illness for attention, lying, etc. . .). They are planning on getting married in October.
Can I take any action? I want my son to be able to see his father but do NOT want him left alone with the soon to be step-mother (now or after the marriage). What can I do?

If he is in contempt you can petition for contempt and you can petition to modify visitation. If these children are in danger, perhaps their relatives should contact CPS, but if she has been reunited with her children it is possible that the allegations you are being told may not be true and you may be getting into the middle of somthing.

She still has court hearings to find out if she can keep her children. Is there anything I can do to say my child can not be left alone with her when visiting his father? He is not the most responsible person either but much better than she. He has only KNOWN her for a few months so I am not exactly sure he know what kind of danger, if any, he may bring my son into.

You may petition the court to midify your visitation so that there are no unrelated adults present, if you feel it is an emergency, you can petition for an emergency hearing, before doing that you might wan to talk to your ex and see if you can work something out so that he visits alone with your child if that is what is already in the visitation agreement, or supervisied, let him know that you are aware of her pending hearings and wouldn't want your visitation to interfere with that either, you might want to trade for more time later to make up for it until her court hearings are resolved. That might work without going to court. Make him think it was his idea.
