What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Washington state

A stay-at-home mom has belonged to a stock club and has been investing what she referred to as "her own money". She got her own money from her husband and, earlier in her life, from her parents. Is the husband entitled to half of the $250,000? Is there a case on point in my state or any of the other community property states. What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

Yes. It was marital income in and therefore marital income out. She could always pay someone to trace the portion that may have been gifted from her parents (as long as she knows EXACTLY how much was gifted from the parents) only to her but quite frankly the money from her husband is MARITAL. So hubby is entitled to a portion of the $250,000.00 and most likely would be awarded half.
