SettlementWhat is the name of your state? I live in Georgia. My question is I have been divorce for 2.5 years we reached a settlement when the divorce was final. I have a home in Georgia and some land in which is still in both of our names. My ex now tells me she has claim to half of it what can I do? |

| How were these properties addressed in the settlemnet. If you were intended to have sole ownership, why did you not have her quit claim her interest as part of the settlement?

SettlementI will have to check to see if these were addressed in the settlement if I can remember correctly all that was addressed was what she was entitled to. |

| Look to see if these were either addressed specifically, or whether they were addressed by language that specified that all property not specifically listed as going to her was considered as being now yours alone. Frankly, the time to convey a real estate interest is at the time of settlement. Even if she were not making that claim that she is entitled to half, as it is now, she is still on title.
