someone told me they believe there is a law which says a parent may not share a bed with their child beyond a certain age. i need to know if this is true and how i can find a document stating the law, my stepson's mother still sleeps with him and i am worried about his mental and emotional development. are there any legal steps my husband can take to change this situation?
thank you. |

My response:
There are no such laws in California. The only laws are incest and rape laws in the Penal Code. But, you haven't stated any facts along those lines.

You don't say how old the child is but the older the child, the more the Judge may be inclined to do something. | |
