What is the name of your state?I live in Michigan. Living with mother of my 2 children for 8 years. She quit her job 5 years ago (against my wishes, I have pretty much let her have her way so that I can raise my kids). I own the house and both cars, her name is on no accounts but I have put her on my credit card. Now she wants to leave. I do understand I will have to pay child support if I can not get custody. What rights will she have to assets when she leaves? Is there anything I should be doing in the mean time to protect myself?
