stagetory rape

What is the name of your state? Texas

My girlfriend is 17 and she wants to leave her home and live with me. I am 22. Is there any thing her parents can do to me legaly. I have heard that her parents can't do anything because she is 17 and that she has to press charges. 2nd can they press charges even if we have never had sex or any kind of sexual relations.

Why do you want a 17 year old to forgo any further education and the ability to achieve eventual self-sufficiency? Shouldn't you be encouraging her to get as much education as
she will need to be employable and "marketable" in the present economic environment? If you drop dead tomorrow and she has a minimal education, how will she take care of herself, or any future kids she may end up needing to support?

At 22 you are old enough to know that the education a 17 year old has will do little for her in the job market.

it is not about me and her I just need to know if her parents can do some thing to me because she has no where else to go. If I can be put in jail for 14 to life then I have to say no but I don't like her being in an abusive house.

If you don't like her being in an abusive home, then your best bet is to call Child Protective Services.

Yes they can do something to you, they can get you for harboring a runaway************** she can legally leave but anyone who takes her in, they can have them arrested.... (kind of a weird loophole there)...

been there and done this, but I was the mother trying to keep my daughter at home..... trust me, if you want her out.. get her, her own apartment************** Do Not take her in your home...

when does she turn 18??
