Question

Teen Rights

My question is what are a 17 year old girl's rights in GA? My girlfriends parents treat her so badly, and have her wishing she could leave and never have to look back. That is why I want to know if there is any legal thing I can do to free her from her parent's tyranny.

I doubt there's anything YOU can do. Your GF can petition the Court to have herself emancipated. She would have to prove to the Court without a doubt that she can COMPLETELY support herself financially without her parents and without State Assistance.

Is it that bad that she can't wait until she's 18?
