| | | | teen rights hi i am wondering how a 16 year old female can leave her house without having to get an amncipation from a court. how can she go about getting someone as her legal gardian so she can leave the house. the house is not a stable enviroment to be in. |

| | | | Your parents would have to sign guardianship over to someone else. Atleast, that's how it works in FL. When i was a child my father signed guardianship over to my babysitters. That way they could take me the doctor if I got sick or any other "parent-type" things that any other parent type thing could be done by them if he wasn't around. When I got to be a teenager, he signed guardianshipn over to my current "parent-type people." During the time I was with them I became pregnant and they were able to help me with the situation.
I'm not sure how the process would work in your state, but you should be able to call the courthouse in your area for more information. The big thing would be to have your parents sign over guardianship. I don't know how they would feel about that. | |
