| | | | Teenage stepson having a child My stepson lives with his mother in New Jersey. He has recently informed us that he has gotten his girlfriend pregnant. They are both 15 (16 in July). They have decided to keep the baby and move in with his mom (they will not even consider adoption). Can they marry in New Jersey before age eighteen? If they do marry, will my husband's child support order still be in effect? |

| | | | Where is your head at? Do you even care that your step son will have to take on the responsibility of a baby at the age of 15?
Or are you just worried about how much money is leaving your house to support you husbands son? |

| | | | Actually, I was considering the things I could purchase a send to him for his new baby, rather than the money going to his selfish mother. I care very much for what happens to him and his new child, but I also like to be an informed citizen, rather than one of the ignorant masses.
I was looking for a law oriented answer. You know, from the 'legal' free advice board, not the 'obnoxious opinion' board. |

As for the child support, heck, I'd give it a try...it's all up the judge after all, could go either way.
Good Luck!
