testifying against family members

What is the name of your state? illinois

i have a student who called police on her father for what she believed to be his abuse of her mother. now it has come to trial and she has been subpoenaed to testify but doesn't want to now. can she refuse to? who should she be talking to at this point since she is a juvenile and does not have a lawyer .
