Texas 2-step

Is there a maximum number of times a person can be married in Texas? I am a widow. My bf is going through a 3rd divorce. He seems to think there may be a limit to the number of marriages that can be had.

On the subject of child support, what is the maximum that the judge can award?

Thanks.

There is a limit. I THINK it's 6, but it doesn't matter. If he has reach his maximum marriage capacity, you can get married in a state with no limit. It would be valid in Texas.

Doesn't seem like a great marital prospect, to be honest.

LOL

Sorry. That is so funny. Actually, I don't know about any other state, but there is definately not a limit to how many times you can marry in Texas.

My grandfather was married a total of 14 times in Texas. That's right, 14... I know, I know.... Yes, a trailer. He was married more than once to about 3 or 4 of them, but anyway, as disgusting as it is, he was legally married 14 times.

A good friend's father was married almost that many times....and also more than once to the same woman....LOL...but it wasn't TX. No trailer though, just too much money and too much time on his hands.
