| | | texas child support laws texas child support laws - I was just informed by my exgirlfriend that she is pregnant. I do not want her to have our baby, but she tells me that I have no say in it. What rights do I have?
I feel that she is an unfit mother and trying to trap me. If she has the child will I be forced to pay support even though I don't want her to have it? Can we come to a written agreement that would state that this is her decision to raise a child without the father and that I am exempt from financial support? |

| | | | NO!!!!!.... Just because you don't want her to have this baby does not absolve your responsibility to provide for the child**************..
The only thing you can do is request a DNA test if you think there is a chance the baby is not yours.
Also if you can prove she is an unfit mother you can petition the court for custody but I would question your ablitity to be a fit father based on the your stated fact, you don't want this child in the first place.
At risk of sounding to cynical, this is why people should practice birth control!!!!! | |
