are they liable?

What is the name of your state?Texas
Can anyone tell me whether or not I have the right to sue the company that my ex-husband worked for if they did not follow through with a garnishment order that was issued against him? It was not honored because his live in girlfriend at the time handled the payroll for the company they both worked for and she told the state attorney office that the case was closed when it was not and prevented my ex-husbands wages from being garnished under a court ordered garnishment. Because of this can the company be held liable? I know that the state will eventually fine the company for non-compliance, but can I sue him for damages?

since i never received the child support that was to be garnished, I was forced to relocate my entire family to a place we could afford to live, my husband and i both gave up jobs that we had been at for more than 4 years just to have to start all over. not to mention the emotional stress brought on to my family, the temporary seperation of my husband and myself due to the relocation process. I am trying to pay for everything my self, my daughter needed braces, the divorce papers say her father is to pay all medical and dental and now i am the one paying for the braces myself and am having a hard time.
