Two Females Seperate

What is the name of your state? Florida

Hello all...thanks for taking the time to read my post.

My girlfriend and I purchased a single story, concrete block, home together approx. 6 years ago in Florida. We acquired many credit cards and debts jointly throughout this time. I have decided that I can no longer continue living with her because of her abusiveness towards me and I would very much like to leave before the house is sold. (The house is currently on the market for sale with a local realtor). Unfortanatly I am disabled and am on only a fixed income from social security. Therefore it is difficult for me to find a place to live that I can afford. The housing authority will not assist me because I "own" a house. My significant other works and makes more money than I do. She appears on the mortgage as the primary owner and I as the secondary. I am very nervous about leaving, (basically I would have to sneak out while she is at work). My two part question is: If I left (without her knowing my whearabouts), would I loose my rights of receiving my half of the proceeds from the sale of the house if and when the house is sold and would she have the legal right to deduct the months from the proceeds of the sale of the house that I would not be here from? FYI: Since the original purchase date to present I have paid the mortgage with my social security income.

Please help me with any advice/assistance it is greatly appreciated. Thanks again. What is the name of your state?
