Un-Married Couple - Help????

What is the name of your state? Indiana

We are not legally married, have lived together in Indiana for 12 years and
previously in Illinois. Together we have had 3 children, now all teenagers,
mother is their legal guardian. Father wants to separate and move out of
state. Will he be required to pay child support or some form of alimony?
Can the mother force the sale of assets for half of cash value each? Is
this union recognized as common law due to the length of time we've lived
together?

Man and woman have lived together outside of marriage 22 years, 12 of those in the state of Indiana (previously in Illinois). 3 kids (now teenagers). house in man's name, vehicles. Woman has never worked, now cannot due to obesity disability.

Separation looming, man will pay child support, must he pay spousal support? Will couple be forced to sell all and split proceeds? Would prefer woman and kids stay in home and man moves out but makes house payments.
