Hi everybody, im looking for help for my friend. she is not married to her kids father, they have 3 kids been together for over 10 years. hes been messing around on her and shes looking to leave him. T problem! they have a small business together and she has a suspicion that he is trying to screw her over and divert funds she isnt involved much with the business since having her 3rd child. what are her legal rights in regards to the business if she leaves him. im not sure about what she has on paper regarding the partnership, he is not a us citizen not even sure if he is here legally, in any case what is she entitled to and what would you recommend to safely separate from him without loosing her invested money.

Hopefully she has a contract or something official in writing stating she owns the business. This is not a marriage. If she wants anything her only option may be to fight in court and even then she might not win.
