When there is a restraining order it happens at times that the two people end up in the same place. When this happens, someone has to leave the area to respect the restraining order.

Why would saying "hey" get you in any trouble? And why would you even speak to this guy if he slit your tires?

When you have a restraining order on someone it is because you fear something from the other individual. I suggest you not speak to him again, eliminating the chance for him to use your "words" against you if he decides to fight the order.

What you did was not smart on your part, but it's over and done with. Just don't speak to him again while the restraining order is in tact.
