Question

wanting a divorce but short on funds

What is the name of your state? I live in Arkansas. I have been separated for almost a year now and am wanting to file for divorce but don't have the extra money to get one. Is there any kind of help I can get to help me do this? It will be an uncontested divorce but we do have a 16 yr old son. Can he pick who he wants to live with or will the court decide? He is currently living in Missouri with my spouse.

check with your local courthouse... i know in most states there are "pro se" packages available. you would just be liable for the filing fees.

be sure to get the advice of an attorney though. most attorney's where i am from will give you a free consultation on the matter.
