Washington state divorce question

I just fired my attorney b/c he allowed my order of protection that he insisted that I get expire and I had spent $10,000 and 8 months and he basically had done nothing. He would not listen to me he wanted to go to court to make as much money off of me as possible. I had assets before I married and they were all blended with my husbands assets. He wanted to go to court and fight for my separate assets, but I have been told since by another Washington attorney that Washington Courts have ruled that when couples blend money they it is considered community. I kept writing him emails saying just split the money and get this settled. He would write back saying "I can get you more money" Anyway, I fired him on a Monday and he acknowledged being fired then on Tuesday evening he sent me an email and said he had a meeting with the opposing attorney (I had not been told about this meeting) he asked if I wanted him to go. I emailed back "no". So then I get my bill and he billed me for the meeting-this was two days after being fired. I can only imagine what was said at this meeting as he knew that I hated him.
He is holding around $50,000 in his trust account for me and refuses to give it back until all bills are paid. The problem is each time I call his office to demand return of my money they put me through to him and then I get billed for it. I can not hire another attorney until my money is released.
He just sent me a letter warning that I better hire another attorney are there will be bad consequences. I wrote the opposing attorney and told him that I am in the process of hiring another attorney. This is in a small town in eastern Washington. This attorney that I called asked me to send him some documents and he is considering taking my case. But he said that attorneys do not like taking over someone else's case. I can not file a complaint to the bar until another attorney agrees to take my case. Any ideas?
