Question

We got the order for temp.custody of the boys ??

After more phone calls then I care to tell you ,to Kentucky and Ohio We were finally told we HAD to file the ex-parte motion in Ohio.
Went to court this morning and
WE GOT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We are leaving for Kentucky Sunday night, to be there first thing Monday.
I dont know what we do next to get the kids out of foster care and home to Ohio.
Our attorney said it has to be filed in their county courts, and then HOPEFULLY the sheriff will go for, and give us the children.
He said we should get an attorney, that Kentucky may not honor Ohio's order.
Has anyone dealt with something like this before?
Does Kentucky honor Ohio's orders?
Or will we have trouble getting the kids and bringing them home to Ohio?
The cabinet caseworker wants them to stay in Kentucky.
My daughter has a hearing Thursday , and the caseworker said the judge is going to give the kids back to her.
Thanks so much in advance
Debbi

A sheriff in KY will not honor an OH order. You will need to have a KY attorney file it into the KY system and there probably will be another hearing. Why are they in foster care ? The best thing to do is to get your attorney to attach a petition to the hearing on Thursday regarding the mother.
