he has custody of the children and refuses to let her see or talk to them on the phone. she and her husband do not want to move to tennessee. they just dont have the funds to fight him in court for the children.she needs legal advice on what her options are.because she has no money and he does.

Ah so your friend married another very poor person, so they dont even have any savings to hire a lawyer. Your friend and hubby needs to better themselves in life and get higher paying jobs, then they will have the money to get a lawyer and visitation with her kids.

Your friend & hubby needs to tighten their belts, do they smoke, drink, do drugs, lots of money can be saved there, do the eat out a lot? I hope she and hubby use birth control seriously. Dont want to make her life even worse by getting pregnant and having even less money to spend for a lawyer.

I think that this is the best answer to your question: what can you do when you dont have money for a lawyer? you change your lifestyle, raise cash, and dont spend on anything you dont need.

Jackie I suggest you ignore Aahlee's "advice"

and focus on the finding out what you can about the questions lovingwife posed.

A further though: perhaps your state has a family law website that can answer your friend's questions. My state has various forms you can download . Or she can either go to the library and read about divorce/visitation laws in your state or perhaps there's a book that deals with visitation issues specifically.

Good luck in finding advice for your friend.
