What to do after receiving a motion

What is the name of your state? Fl
If you are sent a motion from the other party, are you supposed to file an answer prior to the hearing on that motion or do you answer that motion during the court. IE Motion of Clarification of Representation of Former Husband.

Generally you need to file any responses prior to a hearing.
