When men and women co-inhabit 1 year to 40 years as live in partners in Calif, are they at risk of being thought of as common law marriage.

Scenario 1. They both are over 21 and have a verbal agreement to have separate lives, bank account and do not pay each others bills. However one pays rent, either by buying and paying for the groceries or moneys per month. And the other party owns the home they both co-inhabit and pays the house payment, each own their own cars.

Scenario 2. The man owns the home and a women moves in two years later they both have their own bank accounts and have been paying their own bills for the last ten years. The women injures herself at work and goes on disability with a limited income. Is the man reasonable for her? And could she have claim to a common law marriage for having a lower income.

Scenario 3. When does co-inhabiting between consenting adults become common law marriage?

California does not recognize common law marriages.
