Who am I ?

What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? Tennessee
Hi , Leigh here 35. Problem is my mom went in the hospital and had me under her sisters name, put her sister and her sisters husband on my bc as my parents. Then filed for a lost ss card with the name she wanted me to have, and they gave it to her! I need to know how to fix my bc to have at least my mom on it and how to get my ss # that I have used all my life connected to the name on my bc. This is a long story and has alot of bad turns in it , but this is the main problem , I need my bc fixed and my ss # linked back to my bc. I appreciate any advice and your time. Thank you ! Leigh

Contact Social security re the process for name change.
Contact the court in the county where your Birth Certificate was issued about the process of amending the birth certificate. Are your mother and/or her sister alive, have there been any DNA tests to establish maternity? Who were you raised by?

Who am I continued...

Yes they are both still alive, no dna tests have been done as I have just found this messed up part out. This story is a long long line of lies and betrayal, and of course I got the butt end of it. They are twins, and I believe that the woman that raised me is my mom without a doubt, there has been a couple of different stories of why she used her sisters name instead of her own , I guess only she knows the truth. The one listed on my bc had a son in june of 68 and also had cervical and uterine cancer when he was born, from what I have been told by the others in the family is that she was still going through chemo and radiation when I was born, and that I do belong to the woman that raised me. She had told everyone she wasnt pregnant but that she had a tumor, she wore a girdle the whole time she was pregnant with me and I have never heard anything about any prenatal care. I guess I am lucky I turned out as well as I did. Thank you again. Leigh
