Ok, My bf and i have been together for about 10 yrs now. I in that time have graduated college and accumulated quite a bit of debt from credit cards, student loans, etc. My bf has accumulated some legal troubles due to driving infractions and recently a car accident in which he had no insurance. I stay at home to care for our young twins and he works. Seperately, I own a home which was left to me by my mother while he doesn't own anything major (a few old cars).
My question is if we get married can my credit problem cause the garnishment of his wages or his legal problems cause my house to become a target of seizure even if our problems arose before we got married?
