What is the name of your state? West Virginia... Man and Woman live together for 19 years. She purchases a house in her name with help from her parents for the downpayment in which they both live. He works, hands over his paycheck every week and she handles the bills, obviously using some of his income toward the mortgage. Now she wants him out of the house. Does West Virginia recognize Common Law Marriage? Does he have any right to equity in the house? Can he be thrown out in the street or does he have the right to take a reasonable amount of time to find new accomodations?

West Virgina = No common law marriage.
