Exclamation

Doctor carelessly delivers my baby

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Arizona

My wife gave birth to our second son in late July. She had no problems during her first pregnancy aside from having an episiotomy. However, after our second child, she had the occasional problem with excessive vaginal bleeding. She was seen for the pain once or twice, and they just gave her pain pills. Last weekend, she passed a large mass and she began to bleed quite profusely. After a night in the hospital, the bleeding stopped, and the mass was sent to the lab.

She got her results today, and the mass was part of the placenta. During birth, the placenta needed a little extra work to be delivered, but apparently the doctor didn't inspect the placenta like he should have done, or he would have noticed something was wrong. My wife spent over 2 months in pain and distress, bleeding unnaturally, and missed many days of work because of it. Some days, the pain was so bad, she couldn't even get out of bed, so I had to miss work to make sure she was going to be alright.

What can I do in this situation? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

She's in moderate pain, but the bleeding has stopped. She took leave for 6 weeks, but we can't afford for neither of us to work.

And thank you. He's a wonderful little boy. He's even trying to say "Daddy" now!

It would be very, very rare to the point of being unheard of, for disabilty benefits to be available for someone who is off work to care for a family member.

There are one or two states that allow for paid leave for this purpose, but Arizona is not one of them.

I am imagining that the surgeon serving for your wife might do some more ridiculous things once more . One day he or she finished to deliver a pregNANT woman ,one healthy infant coming out ! But in that evening , before falling asleep , one terrible thing came into his mind that he forgot to deliver her of the sencond infant , one of the twins .

First of all, I AM a wife; I don't have one.

Second, the poster does not say or even imply that his wife was having twins. It was a single birth by the poster's own words. You are making things up that have nothing to do with the post. Stop it before you are reported to the administrators.

Assumptions have no place on a legal board.

Maybe within your galaxy this may happen, but here on earth a Physician would know if there was another baby to be delivered. Now, return through your star gate.

May the force be with you.

Nanu Nanu.
