What is the name of your state? Florida

I was in there for heart surgery. They cancelled my surgery and when I asked why they began to verbally and psychologically abuse me.

I asked to be transferred to ORMC and they refused.

I talked to my doctor and she said I could leave against medical advice, she wrote discharge orders. I then told my nurse and called a cab.

As I was waiting outside the front door a cardiac nurse and two Security guards confronted me and refused to let me leave even though I had been discharged.

I got up and walked away and they tackled me from behind.

I tried to run but they pushed me into the pavement and choked me. I recieved 7 large skin tears.

I was forcibly dragged into the Emergency room where a guard was placed with me, and I was help prisoner for 3 hours.

A psychiatrist interviewed me.

Finally I was let go, my skin tears were not treated and I did not receive any treatment for my angina even though I had chest pain.

I finally reached ORMC ( another hospital ) by taking a bus there, where I was given good medical care and heart surgery the next day.

Today I recieved a bill for $450 from Florida Hospital Emergency Room for being kidnapped and held prisoner against my will.

Be careful before entering Florida Hospital South, they have a strange idea about health care, it is very similar to treatment you might receive from members of any organized crime outfit!

P.S. I field a complaint against Florida Hospital South with the state of Florida, and they sent me a letter saying Florida Hospital was within its medical correct procedures and they would not be cited!

:( :( :( :( ~

I am no Lawyer, but I know that I have the right to choose my own health care provider.

I feel that Florida Hospital South abused my patient rights.

All the facts of this case can be proven because Florida Hospital is not denying it, in fact they are demanding payment for my kidnapping and assault!

Do you have a LEGAL question?

I wouldnt know what legal question to ask, I am no lawyer, but I do know that they abused my rights and should be held responsible.

I should not have to pay kidnappers for holding me against my will.

All my costs (Wound Care Specialist) for wound care to the 7 skin tears should be reimbursed to me.

I know however that through legal trickery and lawyers that won't help that medical tyranny such as Florida Hospital practices will never be stopped, but will get worse.

If you need a legal question, see if you can help me forumulate one. As for me there is no question in my mind that what Flordia Hospital did was wrong and assault and abusive.

If you are unable to answer what might be done in this case, then don't worry about it, because you are probably not a personal injury lawyer.

In order to have discharge papers, they treated/saw/whatever you for something, right? Or does your bill say "Treatment: for kidnapping"?

OP presents an interesting, yet incomplete and inaccurate story. I feel confident in saying this due to OP's statement..."P.S. I field a complaint against Florida Hospital South with the state of Florida, and they sent me a letter saying Florida Hospital was within its medical correct procedures and they would not be cited!"

The bill for the kidnapping simply says..."ER Physician Services"

I also got a letter from my primary physician saying she would no longer treat me, which is fine with me because I feel she must have been consenting to the confrontation by the Security Guards and the kidnapping.

My Primary physician at Family Helath Center ( A wing of Florida Hospital) will not return my calls nor acknowledge the incident at all.

It was always my belief that medical treatment was on a voluntary basis and that no hospital could force medical treatment on a patient. But Florida Hospital operates in a cloak of darkness and medical tyranny that is frightening.

I feel sorry for those people who are bedridden and cannot run, they are forced to endure the bad medical care of Florida Hospital without being taken seriously or respected when they ask to be treated by someone else or get a 2nd opinion.

PS I filed a complaint with the State of Florida, you may conatct Joel Libby , Filed Office Manager (407) 316 - 4859 Complaint Investigation CCR# 2007001893

PSS I am not lying!

The why did my physician say I could leave against medical orders?

And why did they not treat my skin tears and angina.

I had the right to leave, and it was not proper to assault me and kidnap me.

Its people like you that support patient abuse and medical tyranny, here i I was a Cardiac patient going to take nice cab ride to ORMC, and Florida hospital felt it was "proper"? to beat the crap out of me? Cause angina? refuse to give Oxygen when I had chest pain?

You are one lousy judge of circumstances and a poor advocate of patient rights.

Patient consent is required for ALL treatments unless the patient is unconscious or has a Health Care Proxy.

I duscussed this move to ORMC with my primary physician and she agreed to let me go.

She wrote discharge orders.

What gives them the right to change their mind and kidnap me? NOTHING DOES

I have the right to say NO!!

PS As soon as I was evaluated by the psychiatrist I was LET GO!

Why then did they dopubt my sanity?

And if it was asafe then to let me go to ORMC, why wasnt it safe before when they kidnapped me?

And wasn't it more dangerous to beat the crap out of me than to let me simply take a 5 minute cab ride to ORMC?

So, the hospital cannot give you a bandaid if you have a profusely bleeding gun shot wound or if you are drunk and uncooperative?

That is correct

and I was in my right mind.....sane..I have always been sane they have no reason to think other wise and my Primary Physician gave me permission to go!

It came as a surprise to me that they were going to "hold" me and not let me go! And I would have been FAR better off if they had NOT attacked me!

PS They did NOT give me a band aid, they didnt treat my 7 skin tears, they didn't give me 0 2 for my chest pain, they DID choke me, hurt my shoulder by holding my arm behind my back, grind me into the pavement cassing 7 skin tears. You tell me...what woulda been safer ..that? or a nice 5 minute cab ride to ORMC?

I know you won't answer it because you are obviously in Florida Hospitals back pocket, one of their paid "stooges" who will lie and hurt people for the almighty dollar
