medical assistance for pegnant women

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Maryland

So here is the situation...
I applied for medical assistance in Maryland 6/20/08 when a pregnancy test showed positive. Finally heard back by mail 9/1/08 with a denial for lack of income proof. I then handed in the documents that were necessary on 9/23/08. Its now 10/24/08 with no communication. I call every week to only leave messages that are never returned.

Is there any legal action I can take?

No, no legal action. If you'd turned in the proper documents the first time, you might have heard by now. Have you tried going into the office and talking to someone in person?

They are very slow. It took them almost 3 months to notify you the first time asking for additional information. It's only been 4 weeks since you forwarded the proof of income documents. They're confirming the information.
