My boyfriend shot me and I need to know how I can sue for compensation?

My boyfriend shot me and I lived. In the hospital they weren't suppose to feed me and they did. They sent me home and I had to go back to the hospital for 3 weeks because It of my feeding, I got and infection, and the paper works shows I wasn't suppose to be fed. How can I ago suing for compensation?

I hope I understand this correctly, you want to sue your boyfriend for shooting you right?

Why isn't he your ex? He should be.

Hi,

Well, first of all, I hope you're doing better now.

Second, your boyfriend shot you and you want to sue the hospital for feeding you and it causing you to have 3 weeks more in the hospital? What happened where the boyfriend shot you? Have to ask, can't see how it could not be a potential problem with your relationship

Anyway,

I don't know if you would win a lawsuit for not following their own orders. Maybe. I'm not a legal expert (sorry). Others who have more experience with these kinds of issues should be along shortly to answer. Trust them.

Best wishes though on your recovery,

Kathy

You can ask the DA/judge to add restitution to the shooter's sentence. But good luck collecting. Look for a local victim's compensation fund.

She doesn't want to sue her boyfriend for shooting her, she wants to sue the hospital for feeding her *Shheesh.

Probably so her and her fabulous scumbag can go on some sort of vacation where he can actually kill her this time.

To recap...

Let's not sue the guy that tried to kill you but, instead, sue the folks that kept you alive....

I'm not even sure this person is from America.
She doesnt say anything about the boyfriend going to jail for it, and how can she get the state to stop pressing charges... which is popular with the idiots.

sad thing is--if she wasn't supposed to be fed and she was and the infection and 3-week hospitalization is due only to feeding a gut that shouldn't be fed, she has a valid claim for some type of compensation.

From the wording, "ago suing", I'm betting this person is from the good ole US of A, somewhere in them thar hills.

the winner is......

Look for a local victim's compensation fund.
But you can only collect $5,000.00 if he is arrested and convicted and so far you sound more mad at the hospital then the shooter...go figure~

Please stop bumping up inactive threads just to add inaccurate or irrelevent information.

How can you POSSIBLY know what the limitations of the victim's compensation fund available to this poster when you don't even know what state she's in?
