You did not supply details, however, many can be easily cleared up by swabbing with rubbing alcohol. You can also have dealt with on your followup, or a trip to your family doctor. You did not indicate it being of any significance to warrant any kind of lawsuit.

Infection after surgery is more likely due to something that happened AFTER the procedure that before.

What did the Surgeon say when you reported the infection to him/her?
