Resale of vicodin legal?

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask.

I had surgery and sent home with a prescription of Vicodin. I haven't taken any of them, and I don't forsee taking them in the future.

My question is, is it legal for me to sell my extra Vicodin pills?

I live in Arizona, by the way. What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

It would be a felony to sell or give away those pills. If you're not going to take them you are expected to destroy them.

Frankly, I save them for a rainy day

If one is to save pain medication for a rainy day, make sure that they are stored in a dry area, and pay attention to expiration date.

So many people have stored medication in a bath room medicine chest and moisture from showers and baths can have an effect on the medication.

What is this?
A "Sting"?

Call your local police department, and ask them.
