Thank you for your answers earlier. I talked with my sister-in-law tonight, who has gone through being an Executor (Executrix), and she had her Uncle's Will probated, and told me once my Father's Will is admitted to probate court, that a judge will appoint me as Executor, and then I'll get a letter saying I am the Executor, and can then start doing whatever needs to be done to take care of my Father's Will. My brother, who was named as Executor before my Father died, has relinquished his duties as Executor, and it passes on to me. He has nothing to get the Will probated in the last 7 years since our Father's death anyway. I am curious to know if I will get this letter saying I'm the Executor from the judge himself, the probate court, or does the attorney send it to me? Thank you.

do you get the feeling that the father of irishscott was a bit lenient in only going for 2 years ? LOL.

my daughters are 34 and 31 years old today. jackie, 31 has 2 babies and she is in school. terri, 34 is in a drug rehab, she lost her 11 month old little girl ,(her only child), in a awful car crash along with her other grandmother and terri just has no will to even live these days. our little river jade, was 2 weeks away from her first birthday when she was killed, i so much understand terri's downfall. god bless you all for any advice.

i just don't know. we didn't even know he was still alive untill a copy of his will was mailed to my 2 daughters, giving them 25.00 and they don't want it, or anything he had. they just want to be left alone and yet their daddy's girlfriend's family is going to take them to court and make them sign this will.

Dear Anteater: The lawsuit was against one of my nieces 4 non payment of her mother's funeral.The funeral home's lawyer contacted my attorney who I hired to represent my mother's estate.I am billed hourly 4 every phone call they make,e-mail they make or receive,etc.There was no money in the estate other than money I put of my own.Any costs only come out of my inheritance not the other beneficiaries.I will NEVER be an executor again it is TOO COSTLY. dismayed in pa.
