Thanks for the feedback these people thinks its a joke honestly im not making excuses about what happened it was my fault and my family knows even the fact that i went for a knife i could never hurt anyone. I admit it was stupid but they really dont wanna see me do time for this. I keep mentioning my mother and father because they were there and when we go to court we including my brother the victim will all be supporting me thats why i figured it would help out because they are witnesses and my brother <victim> gonna back me up so what do you honestly think im in new jersey

Dave, Hadn't realized you had accepted my request for friendship. Just got your message just now. Hitting the sack pretty quick, I'll check out that info tommorow. Thanks a ton. By the way post #65 is almost word for word what I said to the judge, right before he sentenced me. Maybe not the best timing... Momma always said "Think twice before you speak". Dad always said "If it crosses your mind, it might as well cross your tongue." Guess I favor Dad's philosophy.

Hey Dave thanks for answering my post. My lawyer told me if I'd do the community service that she would then dismiss my charge at the next court appearance, then in 60 days he could get it expunged. Another lawyer told me deals like this are common but noone said anything about pleading guilty to anything, just agreeing to probable cause....basically giving up my right to sue them. Does this sound right to you?
