I had posted before about the issue I'm having with this Property Management Company. I'm taking them to small claims court and want to have ammunition when I get in front of the judge. They are not only charging us for damage we didn't do, but they got an estimate and they didn't get the work done. Can they charge me without getting the work done? The estimate is for $645. The company they got the estimate from said they could have done it and they had the supplies to do the work.

Ok, just to make sure I have it understood correctly:

The amount I owe is based on the amount of time they require for a notice. So because I was required to notify them in 60 days I owe 60 days worth of rent.

So in the lease, did they need to say that this was the penalty for not giving a notice or is it just assumed that the penalty was XX days worth of rent for XX days of notification?

Sorry to keep asking similar questions, I am just unsure why the lease did not cover the penalty other than saying the security deposit would be charged to re leasing.
