3 years ago I sold a car to a "friend" for 5k. My so called friend was in a bad financial shape and I was doing very well and decided to give him the car with no upfront payment and gave him some time to pay me for the car.
Last year he still haven't made any payment on the car and told me that he had to sell the car for 3k to pay for his mortgage and still haven't paid me a penny.
I signed the tittle over to him when I gave him the car but I never gave him a bill of sell. Do I have any chance to receive some money if I take him to court?
he doesn't have any receipts from me and I don't know how to build my case to present in court.
hey there, have a question for you. i was just pulled over in seattle while driving my friend's car. as it turns out, she (my friend) has not registered her Texas car/plates here in WA, and has lived here for a few years. consequently, i was given a ticket for driving a car with expired plates over two months (RCW 46.16.010), which is a "traffic" infraction, according to the ticket. here are my questions:
1) will this infraction affect my insurance rates?
2) given that it was not my car, and i had no idea it was not correctly registered (i was driving her car because it's better in the snow, and she is afraid to drive in snow), would you recommend that i do the "mitigation hearing" option, and see if judge will reduce it? or, would you just pay the ticket and hope for the best?
I need help!! Having trouble w/the same lot. Can't get any answers. Who and where do I pay? I'm told that Freeway no longer exists and I won't get new paper work w/new owners
