[2] Discharges; [2] Questions?

What is the name of your state? OHIO

An acquaintance asked: if they received a Honorable discharge from
previous Service, and now they are in the National Guard, and may
receive an OTH, then, what effect will this do to him?

Also, he is receiving 20% from the VA for Medical disability. What will
this do to his VA disability payments? Thank you in advance!

Boy that is a noggin scratcher for me. I found this link to the VA. Maybe they will answer your question if others on this forum can't or won't.

I would like to find out how this works out. I hope you will post back if/when you find out the answer. Anyway here is the website:

May Not be too late to separate

Shorty
You need to find out if they are still using the NGR 600-200, it is being rescinded but most states are still using it, if so then he can simply "move" to another state. There are many options for discharge but that seems to be one of the quickest ones. You move to another state and if they are unable to find your MOS within 90 days you are processed for discharge. I have seen your other threads and except for the slight you gave the National Guard you seem pretty sharp on most things so I won't go into the fact that it is almost impossible to get a dishonorable from the guard. They are too lazy to do the paperwork.

My acquittance already has a full Honorable from prior Service,
and is receiving 20% medical disability from his injuries in Iraq.
He is now in the NG, and evidently wants out; and his willing to
take an Other Than Honorable discharge, which basically is an
Undesirable discharge. He is interested in knowing what the
impact from it would be upon his Honorable Discharge, and
the Disability benefits that he now is receiving. Thanks for the
kudos.
