Active Duty seeks custody

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? SC, PA

I currently live in SC with my wife.
My x lives in Penn. with our two sons.
So far there is no 'legal' custody... And she will only let me have the kids a month out of the year... THEN comes to get them early.
Anyways at first I was just wanting to get legal visitation, but after thinking about it, we have decided to go for full custody.

Since I am in the military, what are my chances in winning? I am married, and my wife would be here if I happen to be deployed.

I just want my kids. That's all.

There is a guy that lives on this base, divorced, and he has custody of his two daughters... Since my kids are boys, can that be a plus for me?

Please, any advise would be greatly appreciated! What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
