Administative Separation

My 17 year old son received an Administrative Separation from Delayed Entry (DEP). Administratively separated this date with an uncharacterized Entry Level Separation. Auth: CRUITMAN - ENL Chapter Six. A total of 98 days have passed since the begining of this DEP period.

Reason: ZBA - Moral Disqualification - EPTS.

What does this mean?

From: Fort Sill, OKWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

What did your son tell you about the incident? Did the recruiter talk to him about his seperation?
The delayed entry program is designed to promote military rules, lifestyle, morals, and educate on those items to young men and women who wish to join the military but cannot due to several circumstances. Usually age, sometimes waiting on documents, end of probation, etc. Seperation from the program is largely based on the recruiter who accepted the individual. Seperation due to a moral issue usually means that the applicant lied on an entry form, lied to a recruiter or other personell in charge fo the program, incurred criminal charges. Your sons recruiter should have more information about the incident that resulted in the seperation. It does not prevent him from joining the military, but he may have to wait until he is 18 and otherwise eligible to join the military.
