Before actually signing the contract to be part of the Air Force ROTC, I admitted to previous use of marijuana. I was immediately booted. Not expecting that to happen, I didn't ask what that meant for my record with the military or in general. It has been almost a year now and I haven't used since, nor do I plan to ever. When I graduate I want to join the Coast Guard, but will the hang-up from ROTC ruin that as well right off the bat? Or is it clear so long as I pass the drug testing?
