I have some qestions regarding fraternization/adultery.
My wife is in the navy and is an 22 yr old o-1 she developed a friedship that turned "inapropriate" with a38 yr old LDO o-3 who is working in a job that would normally be filled by an o-4, he is not directly her boss however, but has been the main sourse of training for her qualifications, and has pushed for her to have qualifcation boards ahead of the usual power curve.
My wife claims that no actual adultery (intercourse) ocurred, but that their feeling for each other became love. I have copies of emails they sent to each other indicating these feelings, and I believe that investigation would prove that they spent the night together at a liberty port (i know this is true, but proving it may be harder). However after i had confronted my wife with the emails, which were sent using alternate ship email adresses, these were purged by the communication officer, a friend of this a$$hole, who has since retired.
Since then my wife had promised to end all non professional contact with him, but I have found out when the cell phone bill came in that she has been in regular contact, even when we went away on vacation.
We are about to go into councelling, but I do not feel as if it can work with this a$$hole around. What would the consequences be if I were to make a complaint, can I unofficially get the XO to do anything about it. I would love to see this guy lose his career for all the pain he has put me through, and for the damage to our marriage that may be irreversable, but call me an idiot, I do not want to wreck my wifes career before it even really starts. |
