ARNG to USARWhat is the name of your state? TX I was told (by my recruiter...who lied...i know) that once i commissioned i could choose to go active duty or remain national guard. however, almost a year later, i remain an officer candidate and wish to transition to the regular army (usar). is there a way to get out of my contractual agreement with the national guard without messing up my chances with the active duty army? ACTIVE ARMY RecruiterHello Sir The easist way to do this is to speak with an active Army recruiter. Should be able to bring you right onto active duty. |

| All you need is a Conditional Release signed by your CO... You are now a Prior Service Applicant into the Active Army. He didn't lie.
