Can a Marine AWOL attend college? -any smart people out there who can answer me?

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? OH

I need to know; can a AWOL marine receive financial aid to attend college. And once the federal warrant is issued will i have to worry about being arrested at school? I know buddies who are AWOL (National Guard) whom are enrolled in college without a care in the world.

The answer is not simple. Federal student aid is not given by the government, it is only guaranteed by them. This means that the account is managed by a private institution like Navy Federal, Sun Trust, and so on. If you default on your loan, the risk is minimal to this institution because the government will not allow you to rescind the debt, ever. I am not sure how many red flags will be thrown up by applying for financial aid or going to college as a deserter but my simple advice would be to take care of your AWOL status before trying to enroll in school. You are simply putting the cart in front of the horse. What happens when you are pulled over for speeding in the middle of the semester and carted off to military jail to finally take care of your warrant? You have already been selfish by not living up to your obligation to the United States and now you want something back from her, funny how that works.
