What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? NC

I am dating an active duty Marine that has been legally separated for more than a year but not yet divorced. Since there is a legal separation agreement, are Marine Corps rules being broken and if so, what would the consequences be if the relationship was out in the open to fellow Marine's?What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

Sure, it is still considered adultery but unless the Mrs. gets a bee in her bonnet, it is unlikely anyone will care. Here are a few questions to ask yourself.

Why hasn't he finalized the divorce, it has been over a year?
What will people think of the woman that is having a relationship with a married man?
How vindictive is the Ex?
Why did the marriage end in the first place?

Just some food for thought.

Also, another consideration is has he been ordered to stay away from you? In some situations it's not the adultery that gets the service member but failure to follow a direct order. In my experience, there are others besides the stbx that could have an axe to grind.
